About Us

Ten years of getting the colour right

We are a photobook press built around the needs of working studios — accurate colour, archival materials and a dispatch date you can plan around.

Our Story

Built by people who kept getting prints back wrong

Prizam Digital Press began with one press and a complaint we heard constantly from photographers: the album never quite matched the edit. Skin tones shifted. Blacks went muddy. A spread that was designed to run across the gutter arrived split down the middle.

None of that is inevitable — it is what happens when printing is treated as a commodity. So we built the opposite: a floor where colour management is a discipline, where papers are chosen for how they hold detail rather than what they cost, and where every album is checked by a person before it is boxed.

Today we print for wedding studios, portrait photographers, designers and resellers in cities across India. The presses have changed. The reason we bought them has not.

What Drives Us

Mission, vision and the standard we hold

  • Our Mission

To give every photographer in India access to print quality that matches the work they put into the shoot — at a price and turnaround a working studio can actually plan around.

  • Our Vision

To be the press Indian studios name without hesitating when a client asks who prints their albums, and to keep raising what 'premium' means in this industry.

  • Quality Commitment

Colour-calibrated presses, archival materials and a page-by-page inspection on every album. If it leaves our floor, it passed a human check — not just a machine one.

Infrastructure

One roof, four departments, zero handoffs

Keeping every stage in-house is why we can commit to a dispatch date and hold colour across reprints.

  • Printing floor

HP Indigo digital presses with in-line colour measurement, plus a dedicated proofing station for premium runs.

  • Finishing & binding

Lamination, mounting, creasing, foil and hand-binding lines run in-house — nothing leaves the building mid-job.

  • Material store

Archival papers, boards, cover materials and adhesives held in stock so specification never waits on procurement.

  • QC & dispatch

A dedicated inspection bay and packing line where every album is checked, boxed and handed to an insured courier.

Printing Technology

Colour accuracy is a process, not a machine

The press matters. What matters more is everything around it that stops the press drifting.

  • HP Indigo liquid ElectroInk

Ink particles a fraction of the size of dry toner, laid down wet. Gradients stay smooth, edges stay sharp, and the sheet keeps the feel of offset rather than the sheen of a laser print.

  • ICC-profiled colour pipeline

Every press is profiled and re-linearised on a schedule, and your file is soft-proofed against that profile — so what we approve is what the press produces.

  • Automated pre-press checks

Resolution, bleed, spine allowance, colour space and font embedding are verified before a job is scheduled. Problems surface while they are still cheap to fix.

  • Calibrated finishing

Creasing, mounting and trimming are set from the same job ticket as the print, so page alignment holds across the whole run instead of drifting spread to spread.
